This topic is becoming particularly relevant against the backdrop of the Russian-Ukrainian war. It is the historical and cultural heritage, its understanding, preservation and popularization that is one of the fundamental drivers of the cultural development of the nation, its self-identification and presentation on the international arena. The purpose of the research work is to comprehensively study the role of local history and tourism work in the process of popularizing and preserving historical and cultural heritage in Ukraine. Methods and forms of local history and tourism work contribute to the activation and deepening of cognitive interest in the historical and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people and ensure the growth of self-awareness based on the study and research of the native land. Local history and tourism work is one of the most effective and widespread components in the popularization and preservation of historical and cultural heritage. Local history and tourism work contributes not only to the formation of mass knowledge about one's historical past, but also to the awareness of the importance of preserving material and spiritual values. The main tasks of scientific research work: to analyze the conceptual issues of the development of local history and tourism work in Ukraine; to investigate methods and forms of local history and tourism work in the field of popularization and preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people; to study domestic and foreign experience in organizing local history and tourism work; to consider the problems of preserving and popularizing historical and cultural heritage in Ukraine; to develop innovative, interactive forms and methods of local history and tourism work to deepen cognitive interest in the historical and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people. popup.nrat_date 2025-02-17 Close
