The purpose of this study is to identify how visual design influences sociocultural aspects and becomes a medium for their perception and transmission in contemporary society. This is natural, as modern culture is increasingly visual—people perceive the world through images rather than words. The culture of printed text is gradually losing its former dominance, giving way to audiovisual tools that are more accessible to today’s audience. Visual culture is a field that examines the role of visual elements (images, photographs, videos, etc.) in shaping cultural values, symbols, and perceptions of cultural phenomena. It studies how visual information affects society, collective consciousness, and perception mechanisms. Exploring methods of harmonizing the environment through design helps us better understand how images shape thinking, behaviour, and attitudes toward the surroundings. In today's society, visual design is an inseparable part of everyday life. Its increasing importance is driven by social changes, technological progress, digitalization, and cultural trends. At the same time, visual design is not only a medium of communication but also a powerful tool in forming social values, stereotypes, collective representations, and identity. The research methodology includes analysis of visual elements (colour, typography, composition), their semantics, and emotional impact; examination of cultural influence on design; and consideration of cultural specificities in the process of shaping a harmonious visual environment and aesthetic experience. A comprehensive understanding of the sociocultural role of visual design is achieved through a combination of systemic, axiological, intercultural, and semiotic approaches. popup.nrat_date 2025-05-06 Close
