Development of highly efficient and low-cost sorption composite materials based on biochar, obtained by processing secondary agricultural waste (e.g., sunflower, corn, etc.) and hydrotalcite-like layered double hydroxides of Mg(II) and Al(III), impregnated with complexing EDTA groups, for purification of the aquatic environment from heavy metals in the event of emergency environmental situations. The possibility and feasibility of using the obtained materials for purification of natural and wastewater of various origins will be considered.
