Registration Date 10-07-2025 Organization Institute of Organic Chemistry NAS of Ukraine popup.description1 The goal of the project is to create basic synthetic methodologies for the construction of new, promising for organic synthesis, biomedical research and complexation of nitrogen-containing heterocycles: functionalized analogues of natural (derivatives of β-lactams, pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazines, pyrrolo(pyrido)[2,1-b]quinazolinones, hypoxanthines, thiazino[6,5-b]indoles) and synthetic (derivatives of δ-lactams, thiopyrano[2,3-b]pyrroles, pyrrolo[1,2-a]oxazines, pyrrolo[1,2-a]thiazines, pyrazolo[1,5-b]pyrazines, azolo[3,4-a]pyrrolizines) compounds. In the process of carrying out the work, a number of important tasks for modern organic chemistry will be solved: general approaches to directed structural modification of target compounds with powerful synthetic (formyl, carboxyl, haloalkyl, aminoalkyl, etc.) and pharmacophoric (carbamoyl, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, selenyl) groups have been developed using both classical and modern photocatalytic processes; the resulting compounds (depending on their structure) will be used both directly for bioscreening and for further transformations to obtain new, primarily functionally condensed derivatives. An important role will be played by identifying the regularities of regio- and stereocontrol in the implementation of highly selective cyclofunctionalization methods for the directed synthesis of fused heterocyclic compounds as molecular platforms for the design of drug-like substances.
