Tverytnykova, Доктор історичних наук Registration Date 29-11-2025 Organization National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" popup.description1 The aim of the work is to comprehensively study the development of Ukraine in the second half of the 19th century and early 21st century through the prism of the interaction between local and global dimensions, as well as their influence on the formation of scientific and cultural identities and intellectual practices in Ukrainian society. The research aims to show how local processes—from regional characteristics of the development of education and science to the cultural life of individual cities and communities—entered into a complex dialogue with broader European and global trends. It seeks to determine how Ukrainian identities—scientific, cultural, civic, and regional—were formed at the intersection of these local and global processes. The study aims to trace how, over the course of a century and a half, Ukrainian intellectuals, communities, educational institutions, and cultural circles fit into broader transnational movements while preserving their own experience, memory, and tradition. It is also important to identify the mechanisms through which ideas, scientific approaches, and cultural models circulated between Ukraine and the world from imperial times to independence. Overall, the goal of this work is to create an interdisciplinary, source-based picture that allows us to rethink Ukraine's place in global intellectual, scientific, and cultural processes. popup.nrat_date 2025-11-29 Close
