Gorobets, Кандидат технічних наук Registration Date 01-02-2026 Organization National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy popup.description1 The project objective is to develop and implement an innovative approach to solving the critical problem of clean drinking water deficit in Ukrainian territories affected by military aggression, through the use of highly efficient membrane distillation. To achieve this goal, the following tasks have been set: Membrane Formation: Development of a technology for forming novel hydrophobic polymer membranes with an optimized porous structure, high mechanical strength, and resistance to fouling, which is key to ensuring a long service life. Investigation of Membrane Properties: Conducting a physical and chemical analysis of the formed membranes, including determining their hydrophobicity (contact angle measurement), assessing pore size and distribution, porosity, permeability (permeate flux), and the efficiency of salt and other contaminant separation. Practical Application: Testing the created membranes in pilot membrane distillation units for the purification of real sources of contaminated water (e.g., brackish, technical water), investigating system performance, and confirming the possibility of obtaining drinking water that meets international quality standards popup.nrat_date 2026-02-01 Close
