To identify "critical" species of aquatic organisms regarding the features of the formation of dangerous levels of absorbed dose power in water bodies that have been subjected to prolonged radionuclide contamination. To identify biological markers of chronic exposure to ionizing radiation relevant to aquatic organisms, and to establish dangerous levels of exposure of aquatic organisms for use as reference values. To investigate the features of the formation of radionuclide contamination of aquatic organisms of different trophic levels and ecological groups in the conditions of air and water routes of radioactive substances entering water bodies in the conditions of a hypothetical emergency situation at a nuclear power plant with water-water reactors. To determine the possibility of using hydrobionts as indicators of radionuclide contamination of freshwater ecosystems. Based on the ecocentric principle of environmental radiation protection, to improve methodological approaches to assessing the impact of nuclear power plants on aquatic biota.
