It is reveald heating and sintering of the presses made of average dispersity powder is followed by gas extinction. It slows down the process of specimen scincage and can stop it completely. In result the microhardness is poor and has a complex distribution over the surface and the volume of ceramic specimen. Weak degasation or drying of presses before sintering increases density and improves characteristics of ceramics microhardness. In presses of high dispersity powder the effect of shrinkage slow down are eliminated. On the basis of these results some ways and techniques to improve ceramics properties are proposed. These are such methods as specimens fabrication of the mixture of two powders of different dispersity with different sintering trends, using two side die-pressuring technique, heat treatment of the presses before sintering and applying a soft sintering modes.
