The absorption spectra of thin films were studied. In the framework of the Vannier-Mott exciton model the binding energy of excitons, their radius and the forbidden gap of the compounds are determined. The absorption spectra of thin films of compounds in the energy interval 3-6 eV at 80 and 293 R are studied. The belonging of the electron and exciton excitations in this interval to the double chains, consisting of the tetrahedra and occuring by structure elements of all compounds. The absorption spectrum of thin films of superionic conductor is studied. The electron and exciton excitations in this compounds in interval 3-6 eV are connected with optical transitions in the subgrating, and the fundamental band edge is determined by optical transitions in the subgrating.
