The formation of two new phases at 1350 C in this system was established. The hygroscopic and emission properties of all phases were determined and the optimal content of phase was defined. These phases were used as emission active agents for impregnated cathodes. The logn-life testing of cathodes with scandate emission active matter was shown that the cathodes which composition is 2,4BaO.0,6Cao.0,1Sc2O3.0,9Al2O3 have the long-life more than 10000 hours when peak emission current about 5-10 A/cm2 at the temperature of 900-950 C. So, addition of scandate oxide in emission matter increases the long-life of the cahtodes no less than by 5 times as compared to ordinary oxide cathodes.
