Power unit maintenance is connected with the problems of personnel and population protection and scientific accompainment and substantiation of new works and projects in NPP together with new working materials providing. One of problems is to research the impact of design and emergency radiation in near reactor rooms of NPP and shielding properties of constructions under severe thermo-radiation conditions. A work executed deals with the method development for radiation environment study at NPP subsystems based on linear electron accelerator as radiation source. Both experimental and theoretical facility for the problem overcoming of safe NPP management were built on "Electronika U-003" accelerator up-today equipped and professional computer codes developed here. The facility consists of experimental test-bench for irradiation of shielding construction model and program package for radiation research by s imulation methods. Problem was solved of forming of given external radiation field of linear accelerator, an opportunity was studied to achieve radiation characteristics which are similar to those for emergency NPP radiation, a facility creation was completed (set of converters, irradiation test-bench, shield model) and the research was carried out of gamma-radiation passing through the channels in a concrete shield.
