The goal of investigations- solution of synthesis problem of optimal antenna arrays on the base of improved mathematical models, computer analysis and experimental investigations. The synthesis problem of the antenna array with the required pattern without limitation on its shape and number of radiators was solved by the miltiparametrical regularization method. Efficiency of algorithms and software worked out was illustrated on the example of synthesis of the array with cosecant pattern. The influence of amplitude and phase effects of near zone on the power distribution near antenna was analyzed. The mathematical model and iteration method of calculating the two-dimensional antenna array with sectionared aperture were created with account of the waveguide wall thickness and all types of interaction of radiating slots and feeding slots. The expe rimental model of the linear microstrip array of coaxial type have been designed, manufactured and investigated. This array has the pattern which is like to isotropic pattern at H-plane and ortogonal to the antenna axis. The problem of radiation of the open coaxial end which is excited with nonstationary TEM-wave was solved by the evolutionary equations method.
