The following groups of formations have been defined: nonfavourable (Lower and Upper Molassa in Nearcarpathian foredeep, Badenian in Transcarpathian depression), conditionally favourable (Upper Jurassic in Neadobroudgea) & favourable (Devonian salt domes in Dnieper-Doniets depression & Lower Permian bedded formation in North-Western Donbass).
