Nat. Acad. Sci. The purpose of the investigation is to give an integrated assessment of regenerative capacity of valuable introduced plants and to determine perspectives of their artificial vegetative propagation. It has been found, that under Donbass's conditions for the majority of arboreal deciduous plants the highest capacity to form adventitious roots was in cuttings with "a heel",which were laid in in the third decade of May or the first decade of June. The coniferous plants the optimum period of cutting is from the start of a bud. At the cutting in this period the percentage of rooted cuttings was the maximum one, the period of rootage was the shortest, which testifies to rather intensive rhysogenesis. The action of physiologically active substances stimulates the potential ability of plants to rhyzogenesis, improves the development of a root system and increases increment of above-ground organs. The dependence of regenerative capacity of stem cuttings of arboreal plants on their sizes, juvenile features, terms of cutting and age of a mother plant has been revealed. The species and plant forms with high a regenerative capacity have been selected and elements of intensification of rhyzogenous capacity of scarcely distributed arboreal introduced plants have been developed.
