Botanical gardens, Nat. Ukr. Acad. Sci., green plantations of Donbass's industrial cities. The study's aim is to develop ecologically grounded system of plant protection from hazardous organisms under Donbass's conditions. In cenoses of industrial cities in the south-eastern Ukraine there are over 400 species of phytophages which are linked with more then 200 species and forms of phanerophytes. In winter houses polyphages dominate, in the outdoors - oligophages. It has been found that vulnerable phases of pests are observed mainly from March till September. There has been determined tolerance of 22 species and 132 sorts of lilac to ascohytose and mildew. The tolerance of 21 species of maple and 41 hybrids and 8 sorts of poplar to mildew etc has been assessed. The field evaluation of damage by deseases has been conducted for. The organotropic specialization of 126 species of fungi has been ident ified on 174 species hybrids and sorts of plants from 11 families. On consevatories' plants there were registrated 23 species of pests and the sort assessment of plant damage by mildew has been given. 36 species of weeds from 27 genera and 15 families have been revealed. In the floral-and-ornamental collections roundap, grunstar and dialen have proved to be efficient against perennial weeds, in the arboreal-and-shrubby plantations semeron, hezahard, cerb and roundap were effective.
