The aim of the work is to study interspecific variation and definition of biomorphological potential of species and sorts by revealing their adaptive abilities on the basis of rythmological and morphological indices research on the organismic and population levels. The methodological basis of new plant species study is a geographical method with the employment of phytocenotic approaches at the formation of florocenoses and pratocenoces under the conditions of anthropogenously transferred environment of the south-eastern Ukraine. The taxonomical analysis of the collection fund has been performed. Biological peculiarities being studied, geographical origin being determined. The main regularities of the seasonal rythm and plants development have been investigated, the borders of adaptive capacit y of species and sorts with high ecological plasticity have been established, their introduction assessment being given, the generative potential of annual and perennial cultivars being revealed. The diagnostic traits of plants adaptation under the conditions of pollution have been found. The scale of assessment of floral-and-ornamental plants tolerance in the industrial enterprises has been developed. The specific composition, project cover, age structure of introduction populations of ornamental perennials and lawn grasses and also their dynamics in long-term garden's displays and city lawns have been established. The scale of adaptive abilities of lawn and ornamental cereals under Donbass's conditions has been developed, and the assesment of the latter has been done. The typological scheme for modelling of tolerant lawn covers of different functional origin has been created. The hybrid forms of aster (Callistephus chinensis (L.) Nees.), chrysanthemum (Dendranthema indicum (L.) DesMoul. ), panic led phlox ( Phlox paniculata L. ), fescues with the consideration of their ornamental features have been selected. 43 works have been published by the investigation materials.
