Assessment of genetic and selective influence of ionizing radiation on plants. Study of peculiarities of demutational processes in plant cenosis. popup.stage_title Head Arkhypov A.M., Registration Date 27-11-2000 Organization State Specialized Scientific-Industrial Enterprise "Chornobyl radioecological Centre" popup.description2 As result of execution of scientific research work it is revealed features posterity of irradiated trees, that are growing on a clean territory are not differed from control and deflections in vegetative organs have appeared if they are grown in conditions of increased radiation background. Amount of faults of irradiated pine trees on first phase of meiosis greatly exceeds a control and decreases sharply with time. Forest plantations which grow on burial-place of radioactive waste, radiation damaged wood stand and undergrowth in "red" forest require constant genetic control. During study of vegetable cover forming and its modern condition in the ChNPP exclusion zone it is revealed successions of vegetation will change in side of formation of forest ecosystem in condition of moderate moistening on over-moistened soils. Process of forest renewal without man interference will last 100-150 years and some intermediate stages will pass in that time from initial small-valuable plantations to mature forest. It is developed prognosis model of demutation processes in the absence of anthropogenic interference and recommendations for speed reproducing forest cover.
