I., Registration Date 01-02-2001 Organization Scientific Center of Physical Technologies popup.description2 The correct analysis of dispersion properties and field distribution of plasma waves in periodic plasma waveguide taking into account all spatial harmonics is carried on for the first time. It is shown, that the spectrum of plasma waves has a zone structure and bottom border of passband. The widths of forbidden zones and bottom border of passband are determined by a corrugation depth of the waveguide. In case of a planar periodic waveguide the analytical expressions for frequencies, determining passbands and forbidden bands are obtained. The field distribution of plasma waves is much deformed near forbidden bands, forming area with high density of energy of plasma waves in which it can achieve a value exceeding more than by the order its average value.
