D., Registration Date 16-02-2001 Organization V.P.Komisarenko Institute of Endoсrinology and Metabolism popup.description2 The role of some phospholipids metabolites such as phosphoinositides and phosphatidylethanolamines in signal transduction in adrenocortical cells was studied on tissue slices and cell suspensions of rat and guinea pig adrenals and human adrenal tumors. Labelled cholesterol and inositol were used as substrates. After in vitro incubation of tissue preparations the labelled hormones were isolated by thin-layer chromatography. For estmation of inositides synthesis and metabolism the column chromatography was implemented. Some another current biochemical methods were applied. It was found that stearoilethanolamine and ethanolamine, acylated by unsaturated fatty acyds modulate the adrenal secretory response to stress and variation of K+ concentration as well as response to mitotane. K+ and the prolactin signals are transduced with involving phosphatidylinositides and phosphoinositides metabolites. For the first time subcellular distribution of protein kinase C in human adrenal tumor was described. The obt ai ned data augment the present opinion on role of phospholipid signalling in the control of adrenal cortex function. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
