Hydro- and gasdynamic processes taking place by outflow of compressed air from a cylinder and its expansion in a reservoir by displacement of fire-fighting fluid when fighting the fire place are investigated in the work. The equipment includes the reservoir with water storage that is enough for fighting the fire, the cylinder with compressed air as energy source for water feed into the fire place, the assemblies of hand and automatic start, the relief and check valves. Proceeding from the necessity of fighting the fire at the initial stage of its development on the belt conveyor, operation time of the equipment must be within 30 sec. For this purpose water storage in the reservoir must be not less than 0.55 m3. The prototype of the equipment is made, its preliminary and official acceptance tests are carried out, the design plans and specificati on for production of the adjusting series of the equipment are proofed.
