The formation of Ag2CdI4 compound, their crystalline structure and some physical properties of those materials were studied by experimental and computer simulation methods. Electronic structure of local centers, formed during the intercalation of CdI2 layered crystals with Ag and Cd atoms, their interaction between themselves and with lattice were investigated.
