Aim of the study: To study the state of endocrine factors which regulate the process of develo pment of puberty in boys having been exposed, under school age, to ionizing radiation, and in case of abnormal puberty process, to deve-lop methods of diagnosis and treatment. It has been established that in boys of group I short stature is observed trustworthily more often, and in boys of group II - a dysharmonic development and excessive body weight. Delayed sexual development has been found in 6 % and accelerated development in 2,2 % of boys having been exposed under preschool age was noted. In boys with DSD statistically trustworthy decreased levels of testosterone, lutropin, and follitropin were noted; blood concentrations trustworthy decrease in gamma-aminobu tyric acid (GABA) concentration was noted, what may point out a decrease in adaptive capacities of central regulatory mechanisms, and the possibility of correction using GABA-ergic preparations. The novelty of the results obtained as compared to world level lies in the fact that the liarities of the somatosexual development in boys under the influence of exposure to radiation under school age have been esta-blished, as well as the role of GABA in the pathogenesis of these disorders, what points out the possibility of using GABA-ergic preparations for the combined treatment of these disorders.
