Participants: 112 elderly people with criteria of accelerated ageing of cardiovascular system. Methods: Clinical observation, biochemical, bicycle ergometry, echocardiography, spectral analysis of heart rate variability, polarography. Results: The metabolic therapy resulted in improvement of subjective state, an increase in physical working ability, and decrease in functional age of cardiovascular system what points to a geroprotective effect of metabolic complexes. It improved the contractility of the left ventricle, haemodynamic provision while exercise testing, had a normalizing effect on lipid spectrum of the blood, and increased the intensity of tissue oxygen exchsnge.
