Information × Registration Number 0201U003627, 0197U001582 , R & D reports Title Clinico-pathogenetic grounds and working out new methods of treatment of teen-age girls with gynecological disorders. popup.stage_title Head Levenets' Sofiya Oleksandrivna, Registration Date 02-04-2001 Organization Ukrainian Research Institute of Children and Adolescents Health Care popup.description2 Subject of study: 676 girls, aged 10-18, with menstrual function disorders and sexual development delay (SDD).Object of study: to broaden and deepen the insight into the factors and mechanisms of gynecological disorders occurrence in teen-age girls, and to improve the methods of their treatment.Methods of study: common clinical, radioisotope, immunofermental, biochemical, instrumental and psychological.Theoretical and practical results: Certain peculiarities in hormones and vitamins supply in parallel with those in lipid peroxidation processes (LPP), microcirculation and psychological characteristics of teen-age girls with various forms of female sexual system disorders, and their dependence on the character of microsocial environment have been determined. The insight into pathogenetic mechanisms of SDD and menstrual function disorders in adolescent girls has been deepened , and connection between the dates of birth and menarche occurrence as well as dependence of treatment upon correlation betwee n the dates and the season have been established. Distinctions between pathogenetic mechanisms of pubertal uterine bleedings (PUB), both first occurred and recidivating ones have been demonstrated. A new clinical form of PUB - remittent bleeding - has been determined, and prognostic significance of high level of anxiety in correlation with non-hormonal hemostasis has been established.Novelty: It has been shown that bringing up a girl in an incomplete or in a destructive family is a risk factor for developing sex system dysfunction in puberty; certain changes in LPP and in antioxidant protection as well as microcirculation disorders with their degree dependent on the form of pathology, duration of the disease and the season have been determined. 4 new methods of non-hormonal treatment have been worked out.Effectiveness of the proposal: employment of the proposed therapeutic methods increases efficiency of non-hormonal treatment of adolescent with PUB and primary and secondary amenorrhea 1,5 - 2 times.Fie lds of application: pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
