The aim of studies is to investigate the changes of lattice parameter for small particles of Cu, Ag, Au, Al, Ni island fcc metal condensates depending on particle size and their formation conditions. The particle has been prepared by thermal evaporation technique. The research methods: the films were obtained by vacuum condensation under the different conditions (the condensation rate, the pressure and the composition of residual gases were changed). The film structure was explored by high energy electron diffraction and transmission microscopy methods. Hogh energy electron diffraction investigations of lattice parameter have been carried out for Cu, Ag, Au, Al, Ni island vacuum condensates prepared by thermal evaporation under wide-range changing of their condensation conditions for the first time. It was shown that lattice parameter of small particles can both decrease and increase depending on formation conditions with the decrease in parti cle size.
