The aim of the work is the investigation of quality of drink waters in small towns of the region and its influence on the state of public health. In the intermediate report it was analyzed the drink water for its quality and use in some towns of Kharkov region. The quality of underground waters in Kharkov's sources are investigated too (hydrochemical monitoring of underground waters of mezhigorsk-obukhivsk water complex). There were taken soils for tests in the location of some water intakes in small towns. There were collected figures from the sanitary epidemic stations about the state of public health in some towns.
