N., Registration Date 05-06-2001 Organization Sevastopol State Technical University popup.description2 The self-association and hetero-association of caffeine, aromatic ligands (drugs and antibiotics) and their competetive binding with deoxyoligonucleotides of different base sequence in aqueous solution have been investigated by correlation homonuclear and heteronuclear NMR spectroscopy. Methods of performance NMR experiments and analysis of NMR spectra, analytical models of multicomponent equlibrium in solution and methods of calculation of thermodynamic and structural parameters of molecular complexes using magnetic shielding data have been developed. Molecular basis of the influence of caffeine on the specificity of intercalation binding of mutagenes and antibiotics with DNA and its protectiv action in the complexatia procese have been determined. The role of the different intermolecular interactions in the complexation of aromatic molecules in solution has been discussed.
