It was found that the most important morphogenesis underlaying the phyletic lineage towards the birds have been the formation of the anisodactylous type of foot; the trophic diversity within the Chiroptera have been due to combinatorial variability in the generalized patterns of digestive system. Some heterochronies in the development of respiratory, cardiovascular, reproductive systems, as well as of the fish external cover, were described. The possibility of correlative influence between the functionally unconnected organs was revealed by using the multivariate correlation analysis. Variability in the bird skull embryogeny, contradicting the conception of equifinalism, was found. The results obtained extend considerably the phenomenological and theoretical grounds for creating the theories of ontogeny and variability.
