Prolonged latitude sets are required for study of the evolutional geodynamic processes. The expediency and principles of continuation of astrometrical sets are based. The revision of the set of the latitude variations obtained with astrolabe during 25 years is performed using the HIPPARCOS catalogue and the methods, which eliminate of the instrumental instability. These improve the reliability of determining of the long-periodic components of latitude variations.
