Cytogenetic observation of Chernobyl accident victims confirmed the data about the elevated level of aberrant cells due to the both unstable (dicentrics and centric rings) and stable (translocations) cytogenetic markers of irradiation. FISH technique was more sensitive than conventional cytogenetics. The significant interindividual fluctuations in the induced cytogenetic effects had been established.
