The monitoring of environmental pollution and comparative analysis of risks of population representatives' death and disease caused by technogenic catastrophe at Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as of social risks of the same origin, was made. The problem of underground waters protection from anthropogenic activity results and of the correlation between the underground waters condition and population ecological safety is researched. The peculiarities of water exchange under the hydrogeological conditions of Ukraine were established. The scheme of analysis of population ecological safety at the postchorrnobyl situation sociopolitical aspects was proposed and system evaluation of this problem was made.
