A work аim is estimation of possibilities theoretical and experimental research of influence hydrogen and structures of undersurface layers on destruction of metals in friction process. The research methods are test by dry friction of steels which contains hidrohen, optical microscopy and sciagraphy, stereophractography of friction surfaces, durometry, methods mathematical modeling from by application continual integral. The report deals with analysis of influences of hydrogen and mechanical loads on a process of wear of steels. Technology of some diffusion and gas-thermic coatings that contain some elements that capable to reduce solubility of hydrogen in iron as а harmful element was elaborated and their properties and structural features were investigated. Another part of the work deals with mathematical modelling of temperature fields arising during friction, in particular the temperature flash on contact spot.
