Methods of studies - microbiological, biochemical, immunochemical. Lipopolysaccharides (LPS) were isolated from Ralstonia solanacearum and Cytophaga sp. cells and chemically characterized. R. solanacearum LPS was toxic. Using germanium dioxide were obtained modified LPS which toxicity were decreased to a very large extent. The comparative studies of native and modified (germanium dioxide, dephosphorylated) LPS gave a possibility to show the phosphate and carboxylic groups are responsible for interferoninducing activity of LPS of strains tested.
