Purpose - expert assessment of nuclear and radiation safety. Techtical solution being presented for expert assessment deals with prolongation of RPS control rods lifetime, and generaly directed to increasing of carrent safety level. As finding of Expert assessment, it was recognized that Chernobyl NPP presented the incomplete set of documents, wich are necessary for RPS control rods lifetime prolongation. SSTC NRS is recommending to state nuclear regulatory committee of Ukraine to approve the Technical Solution with limitation of it validity for the one year. Besides Chernobyl NPP shall develop the "Program of activities on determination of possibility of RPS control rods lifetime prolongation" in accordance to regulatory requirements.
