The aim of study: to elaborate methodical approaches and to investigate a mechanism of formation and functioning of seed market of grain ear-forming crops. Investigation methods: statistical, calculation - constructive, monographic, traditional methods of analysis and others, research elaboration of home and foreign scientists-agrarians. Research innovation is that a seed market of cereal crops in Ukraine is being formed for the first time; it has its peculiarities which are peculiar only for Ukraine. There have been worked out some methodical approaches to substantiation of optimal volumes of seed production of high reproductions and price-formation mechanism for seeds which permit to work out and substantiate a mechanism of formation and functioning for seed-market in Ukraine. Scientific elaboration is necessary to research organizations, state authorities mana gement, different organizing seed farming structures.
