Aim of Study: Development of new cultivars of spring and winter wheats. Investigation methods and equipment: Protein determination according to Kjeldal, starch determination accord. to Evers, oil content by Rushkowskiy method, protein fraction composition according to Osborne; storage protein electrophoresis by Payne and Bushuk's method. The equipment used is Technikon, Aminoacid Analyzer; equipment for electrophoresis,Farinograph, Alveograph and others. Theoretical and practical results; innovation; efficacy of adoption: There has been determined breeding value of separate protein blocks for grain quality in winter and spring wheats. Their contribution to the scoring system has been shown for grain quality. There have been established sources of some high indices for grain quality in wheat and maise. In collaboration with breeding departments there have been developed and sent to State Variety Test 10 cultivars of cereal crops, out of thes e 4 have entered the variety list.
