The experimental leak finder is developed which uses this method. The main features of this leakage finder are small errors of leakage finding (less than 0.3 m on the base of 100 m), high speed of leakage finding, new modes of signal graphical representation, effective signal filtering, small dimensions (70x190x200 mm), small weight (2.4 kg with accelerometers and radio channel), small energy consumption (8 hour period of autonomous operation). The leakage finder computes the correlation, spectrum, and other functions on the base of the fast Fourier transform algorithm using DSP microprocessor. The leakage finder can be used effectively in the energy generation, and transfer plants, oil, gas transport corporations, and machinery, chemical industry as well.
