The aim - determination and mapping of consediment petroliferous zones witfin fower Carboniferons complexes. A radically new approach for prospecting of nydrocarbons pools in consediment-paleogeomorforphological (and combined) traps is elaborated on the base of comprehensive research of lower Carboniferons terrigenous deposits of Dnieper-Donets depression. This is especially traps connected with erosion-stream and accumulative sand bodies. It is the first to establish that the distribution of overall sandy thicknesses is the most informational indicator for revealing and mapping of paleodeltas as well as for their genetical identification while sandy guantative is the base for prospecting of the traps connected with consedimental edging. As the result of adopted procedure more than 1000 prospective targets connected with different sedimental-paleog eomorphologic (and combined with various structural-tectonic conditions) traps are established. 840 of these targets have been clustered into 107 promising areas. Taking into account that the number of hydrocarbon inflows from lower Carboniferous deposits amounts to as much as 2257 and the number of oil-and-gas manifestation run as high as 1254 it may be safely suggested great petroleum potential of this traps.
