Herds of the new South Meat breed of beef cattle have been created, the number of cattle in the herds is 905, alive weight of the pedigree cows is 550 kg and more, that of bulls in the age of 18 months - 550-600 kg. Their productivity as compared with dairy breeds is by 12-15% higher. The herds can be used for the breeds making process in formation of the beef cattle husbandry in the southern regions of Ukraine.
