The whole set of target orientecl studies and works includes four stages: overregional, reconnaissance, middle scale studies of favonrable zones, characterization of sites, ekperimental studies in underground labjratory. Methodology of toxic waste isolation comprises definitions of target, principles, general approaches and strotegic priorities of toxic waste management and isolation. Regional investigations aimed at selection of geological objcts fovoroble for waste isolation heve been carried out in the cimits of Ukrainiah shield, Dnieper-Donets depression, North-Western Donbass and Nearblacksea depression.
