Taking into account the local peculiarities of the tourist sphere of the region, on the one hand, and the use of appropriate tools to support the development of tourism by local authorities, on the other - is a promising area of further research. It is determined that tourist and sports activity (active tourism) is an important component of general tourist activity in the paradigm of domestic tourism development, the main principles of which are to create a system to meet tourist needs for active recreation by technologies of sports tourism and related sports in domestic tourism. market. It is revealed that modern tourist and sports activity is an important socio-economic tool in the development of the region and territorial communities. Skillful use of the diversity of active tourism brings the region’s economy, the territorial community to a qualitatively new level provides stable income and stimulates regional tourism development. It is proved that tourism and sports activities in the field of tourism in Ukraine is the basis for the humanization of professional training of tourism professionals with bachelor's and master's degrees, and is an important component of meeting the needs of consumers of various tourism products in the tourism market. The peculiarities of professional training of future specialists of the tourism industry in higher education institutions of Ukraine are studied and its key role in the organization of trips from different types of tourism and ensuring the safety of tourists during the trip.
