Gorky popup.description2 Object of Study. 259 children who have had cardiac connective tissue displasia syndromes. Purpose. To formulate a scientific conception, to give a theoretical substantiation of pathogenetic mechanisms and clinicoinstrumental characteristics, to work out scientific and organizational foundations of follow-up, to give practical recommendations for managing children with cardiac connective tissue displasia syndromes aimed at a decrease in both the complication rate and the frequency of the progressive course. Method. A conventional clinicolaboratory study, lipid peroxydation (conjugated dienes, malonic dialdehyde), antioxidant defense (catalase, vitamin E content), acute-phase indices (sialic acid, acid phosphatase), EchoCG, Doppler EchoCG, X-ray examination. Novelty. It is for the first time a scientific conception of pathogenetic mechanisms has been formulated and a theoretical substantiation of a clinical characteristic of cardiac connective tissue displasia syndromes in children has been given, diagno stic and prognostic criteria of the development of complications of cardiac connective tissue displasia syndromes in children have been elaborated, differentiated approaches in therapy and follow-up of children with cardiac connective tissue displasia syndromes in children have been worked out. A complex of organizational, diagnostic, treatment and preventive measures has been developed to lower the percentage of complications of cardiac connective tissue displasia syndromes. Effectiveness. The complication rate and the frequency of the progressive course of displastic cardiopathies in children have been decreased by 3 to 5 %. Application. It can be introduced into pediatric somatic and specialized departments, pediatric out-patient units of city, district, and regional hospitals.
