Also the structure, phase composition and properties of diffusion layers received under this technology were investigated. It was established that the influence of the preliminary plastic deformation (PPD) on diffusion layers formation considerably depends on composition of gas saturating medium containing nitrogen and carbon. The diffusion layers with optimal properties (maximum layer's depth and high microhardness ) were formed in Fe-Cr-Ti alloys after defined deformation (20-30%) in the mixture of 90% ammonia and 10% propane-butane.
