The methods of investigation were as follows: collection, analysis, systematization of geological data and data of phosphorite composition, making a series of specialized maps and geological models, their interpretation; conclusions, recommendations. A few versions of geological models of phosphorite forming conditions have been built: a techtonical, a hydrodynamical anda lithological-sedimentational. It was corroborated that grain phosphorites belong to the Senomanian deposits. The importance of each phosphorite-forming factor has been determined, the regularities of the spacialdeposit location and their quality changes, depending on the structural position, the containing rocks' lithology, paleogeographical conditions, hydr odynamical regime were established. The areas, favourable for grain phosphorite development were delineated according to modelling results. On the basis of the regional conditions, accepted for phosphorite development in hydraulic wells the recalculations of promising and predicted resources from the delineated perspective areas were performed. The recommendations were prepared, the prior and the secondary areas for the further phosphorite prospecting were determined.
