Triiodothyroacetic acid was also obtained by hydrolysis of 3,5 - diiodo - 4 - (4' - metoxyphenoxy)benzyl cyanide and iodination of the diiodothyroacetic acid formed. A dosage scheme for triiodothyroacetic acid tablets has been developed. It has been shown that physico - chemical and biological properties (acute toxicity, suppression of TSH secretion) both of the substance and pharmacological form are identical or similar to the same parameters of Triakane (France) - the drug of comparison. A package of scientific and technical documentation for the substance as well as the pharmaceutical form of triiodthyroacetic acid have been developed for introduction into medical practice.
