The controlled static frequency converter (FC) with a memory element is a monitoring device for the magnetic ore treatment process. The basic circuit of a control system with output parameters of the FC broken type was developed. The FC experimental sample was created. Magnetic and thermal characteristics of the installation were investigated. The block diagram of the FC control system was developed on the basis of the microcontroller. Monitoring the physical properties of iron ore allows to optimize processes of crushing or magnetic separation, or de-sliming that will result in decrease of losses of a magnetic mineral in tails and concentrate quality increase.
