It was shown that light output of fast component exceeds 100 photoelectrons/MeV, the ration of F/T >0,8; radiation hardness is 10 5 rad. The characteristics of detectors size 70x70x300mm completely meet contemporary demands of High Energy Physics. It was shown that for pure CsI crystals where light mechanism of radiation defect producing is not realized, intrinsic dot defects of lattice are of major importance, and their number depends on growth and annealing conditions greatly, and also on technical deformation during mechanical processing of the crystal.
