During the execution of this topic, a number of normatively-technical documents on fire safety have been analyzed the regulate nuclear power plants (NPP), information in relation to technical equipment of apartments and buildings of Chernobyl NPP and the state of current system of fire fighting defense. On the basis of this analysis, with required calculations according to the normative acts was put together a first project editorial staff Recommendations concerning measures for ensuring fire safety during the decommisioning of power units of atomic power stations with "RBMK" type nuclear reactors. Considering suggestions and organizations remarks concerning the first draft of the Recommendations, the editorial staff worked out the final formulation of the project Recommendations. The Recommendations took into account management personnel, engineering-technical personnel, workers of State fire guard, labor protection services and institutions specialists, founding, organizations, which conduct activities related to decomissioning of Chernobyl NPP power units.
