It was found that microwave discharge plasma has negative influence to dehydration process and physical chemical properties of raw material for single crystal growth. It was shown that at pressure value of P>15 mm of mercury the microwave energy is effectively absorbed by alkali-halide salts without microwave discharge appearance. Besides, such pressure is easy and cheap to be achieved using simple vacuum units.
