In phase components during the formation of a covering there were residual stresses of different magnitude and marks. During electroerosive processing of cobalt in mineral oil a Co-C solid solution was formed with bcc lattice, hdp-cobalt and not identified phase. The pulse laser heating initiated disintegration of a carbom solid solution in cobalt alloys. The laser heating of monocrystals of low-carbon steel resulted in them recrystallization with formation of polycrystalline a-phase with parameter of a vcc lattice, which corresponds to initial, and monocrystal y-phase with increased parameter of a lattice. The character of distribution of residual stresses after laser processing correlated with changes of microhardness and dislocations density.
